Are you my forever family?

Please see below some of our most urgent candidates for adoption. We prioritize the animals that live in the most dangerous spots and whose friendly behaviour puts at even greater risk than their peers. You can also find them on Facebook!

The below descriptions are pretty basic but if you want specific information on the cat or dog you may adopt, please do get in touch and we will confirm any detail you'd like to know via Dr. Osman, the vet we work with. Please note that adoption fees, a home check and pre-adoption questionnaire all apply - this is all routine procedure to ensure the safety of our sweet proteges!

TOM  *** DUE TO GO LIVE WITH OANA IN ROMANIA! ***

Male - FIV Positive - Very friendly - Est. DOB 10/2014
Tom is a young boy (we don't know his exact age so his estimated DOB is a conservative estimate!) who wants nothing more than your love and kindness. He has fought hard to hold on to life as a kitty with the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), which makes his immune system fragile. There is no risk to humans and the risks of contagion of other cats are minimal at most in a friendly environment (FIV is usally transmitted from mother to kitten, through deep bites or mating, all of which Tom has no business with now!). He gets on famously with other friendly cats. Can you open his home and heart to him?

HASBUL
Female - DOB 09/16 - Very friendly
When, as a baby, I was picked up from my home territory, a huge building towered above me and noisy things which smelt foul came and went all day while I cowered against a wall and a bush for safety. Two kind ladies picked me up and took me to safety... Look at me now! Look at my very long tail, my exquisite markings, my almond eyes, my pointy ears, my slender frame. Can you honestly deny that I am the most beautiful, dainty cat you ever saw? Give me a home and you can gasp with admiration all day. I am female, born in late September 2016, and the doctors say I am FIV FELV negative. Please adopt me. I am waiting. With love. signed Little Hasbul (this was the name of the supermarket where I lived). You can call me dainty, sweetie, darling. Whatever you like!

BAYAZ
Female - Est. DOB: 09/16 - Neutered - fiv/felv negative - shy, not aggressive
I am told my name is Bayaz, which means "white" in Turkish. This is me, and I was born in a scrub land with my other little brother who I adored. This was around September 16. It was a happy time. We did everything together. We played in the scrub, we hunted, we jumped on the wall every day at the same time to get our lunch from the kind lady who came to feed us. Some other cats joined us and we all shared our food and our playground. One day we heard a terrible noise and my brother crawled away screaming in pain and then closed his eyes forever. I looked at him and knew that I had lost my best friend, my companion since birth and my heart was broke.  I was also hit by this same noisy thing and since then have been in a lot of pain and been crawling around with my leg dangling, not knowing who to trust anymore. Two good people came and put me in a cage and took me to a hospital. I have blankets and they took a photo of my legs and said I have a fracture in my femur and pelvis. I do not know what all that means. I am just a little kitten who does not know much except that I am scared, in pain and would like that to stop and find someone to care for me and love me. I have now been operated on and am recovering in the clinic. I am still mourning the loss of my sibling and do not really know what lies ahead. Do you think you could be that person when I am well and strong again and maybe I can play with a new brother or sister if you have one for me? Thank you. With great love from Bayaz.

HULYA & CIHAN

FEMALE AND MALE SIBLINGS - EST. DOB: 08/16 - SHY

THESE BABIES HAVE BEEN NAMED AFTER DR. CIHAN, ONE OF OUR BRILLIANT VETS, AND OUR LOVELY HELPER AT THE CLINIC, HULYA. THEY HAD A BROTHER WE NAMED OSMAN AFTER DR. OSMAN, BUT HE SADLY DIED (HE HAD UNEXPLAINED NEUROLOGICAL PROBLEMS WHEN WE FOUND HIM). THEY WERE PICKED UP BY A VOLUNTEER FROM A VERY BUSY, DANGEROUS CROSSROAD AS THEY TRIED TO MAKE THEMSELVES INVISIBLE. WITH THE RIGHT PERSON, THEY WILL SHOW THEIR SWEETNESS AND CHARM. THEY DO NOT TRUST EASILY AS YET, BUT LOVE AND PATIENCE CAN TURN ANY CAT AROUND, ESPECIALLY ONES SO YOUNG. THESE SO DESERVE A HAPPY LIFE AFTER ALL THEY HAVE BEEN THROUGH!

ANYA *** BEING FOSTERED IN BOSTON, AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION IN the usa!***
FEMALE - EST DOB 04/16 - FRIENDLY - FIV+
MY NAME IS ANYA AND THIS IS MY STORY... I WAS BORN A STRAY AND I JUST EXISTED, SCAVENGING FOR FOOD EACH DAY AND SLEEPING UNDER DUMPSTERS. FINDING BY A BUSY RESTAURANT I BEGGED FOR FOOD FROM CUSTOMERS AND STAFF BUT RARELY GOT ANYTHING. MOST OF THE TIME ALL I GOT WERE THREATS OR KICKS. HOWEVER, ONE NIGHT LAST NOVEMBER, MY LUCK CHANGED. I CRIED OUT IN TERROR AS AN ANGRY WAITER FLUNG ME INTO THE BUSY ROAD. I REACTED QUICKLY AND LEAPT BACK ONTO THE STREET, COWERING UNDER A TABLE, AMAZED THAT I WASN'T HURT. A CAR STOPPED, 2 LADIES GOT OUT AND DEMANDED TO KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON. THEY SCOOPED ME UP AND TOOK THEM WITH ME, ALONG WITH MY SCARED FRIEND AL WHO HAD WATCHED IT ALL. I SHOUTED ALL THE WAY IN THE CAR, "I'M SORRY, PLEASE DON'T HURT ME" BUT SOON REALISED THEY WERE FRIENDS, NOT FOES, AND WANTED TO HELP. THEY TOOK US TO THEIR HOUSE AND FED US SOME NICE FOOD (NOT SCRAPS), CUDDLED US AND TOLD US NOT ALL PEOPLE WERE MEAN AND WE WERE LOVED. THE NEXT DAY I WAS SPAYED (HURRAH, NO BABIES FOR ME) AND AL WAS NEUTERED. OVER THE FOLLOWING WEEK I LEARNT TO TRUST, ENJOY LIFE AND, MOST OF ALL, LOVE BACK AND FEEL GRATEFUL FOR THE CHANCE OF A LIFE NOT JUST AN EXISTENCE. THESE KIND LADIES HAD TO RETURN HOME SO ME AND AL WERE LEFT SAFE AT THE RESIDENCE WITH OTHER FRIENDLY CATS BUT I HAD STARTED TO DREAM OF A PROPER HOME. I BEGAN TO WANDER A LITTLE, HOPING TO FIND THESE LADIES AGAIN OR MY NEW HOME. I WAS TAKEN TO A VET CLINIC, WHERE I AM NOW. MORE KIND PEOPLE, GOOD FOOD AND COMPANY, BUT I CAN'T STAY HERE FOREVER.  LOOK AT ME. SOME PEOPLE WEAR THEIR HEART ON THEIR SLEEVE BUT I WEAR MINE ON MY COAT! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE A CUDDLE AND A LAP TO CURL UP AND FALL ASLEEP ON. I AM VERY VOCAL AND WILL TELL YOU, AND SHOW YOU, HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU BACK OVER AND OVER. I PURRRR AND I PURRRR. I ADMIT TO WANTING ALL THE FUSS AND ATTENTION TO MYSELF BUT I AM REMEMBERING LIFE ON THE STREETS WHERE YOU JUST DIDN'T SHARE. I'M SURE IN TIME I WILL BE MORE TOLERANT. I JUST NEED CHANCE. I AM FIV+ BUT THAT DOESN'T STOP ME FROM WANTING TO LIVE MY LIFE TO THE FULL IN A FOREVER HOME. PLEASE OFFER ME A HOME AND GIVE MY STORY A HAPPY ENDING.
*** UPDATE *** 28/08/17, from Anya's foster mum, Jackie:
"Hello all, writing an update on little Anya, who we picked up a week ago in Middletown, CT. We are fostering her and looking for her forever family. She is a lovely, playful, happy girl. She is relatively well adjusted compared to our other babies (a bit pesky with other cats). She is really a beauty and would be a fabulous companion to anyone looking for a kitty to love. Photo: Anya and me chillin' on the sofa."
Anya is a super little cat and is healthy, although FIV positive. She can be flown anywhere in the USA.
She is in Boston at the moment.

FRANKLIN, WENDIE AND HUGO
SIBLINGS (2 MALES, 1 FEMALE) - EST DOB 05/16 - fiv/felv negative
RESCUED WITH A BAD CASE OF CHLAMYDIA AS TINY KITTENS, THESE MISCHIEVOUS AND INTELLIGENT SIBLINGS WERE WELL LOOKED AFTER BY THE VET CLINIC TEAM AND MADE BRILLIANT RECOVERY. NOW THEY NEED A FAMILY THAT WILL LOVE THEM AND GIVE THEM THE CAREFREE LIFE THEY SO WISH FOR!
THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL BIG CATS NOW, WITH THE GRACE AND LOOKS OF ORIENTAL CATS AND DESERVE HOMES OF THEIR OWN.
THEY ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED, VACCINATED, FIV FELV NEGATIVE AND CHIPPED. THEY CANNOT SPEND THE REST OF THEIR LIVES IN THE CLINIC. THESE THREE ARE IN DANGER OF BEING RETURNED TO THE STREETS WHERE THEY WILL NEVER SURVIVE SINCE THEY WERE TINY BABIES WHEN RESCUED. THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY WHEN THEY WERE BABIES. THEY ARE NOW DISAPPOINTED WITH HUMANS AS NOBODY HAS GIVEN THEM THE ATTENTION THEY NEED, AND HAVE BECOME RESERVED AND SHY. THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY NO ONE HAS OFFERED THEM HOMES. THEY WILL SOON COME OUT OF THEIR SHELL ONCE THEY can share happy lives with loving families.
PLEASE HELP FRANKLIN, WENDIE AND HUGO, THEY WILL BRING YOU MUCH HAPPINESS IN RETURN!
